Sonorous by The Howling Eye stoner metal album
I listened to Sonorous when it came out, and with so many great albums on Bandcamp, it stayed on my wishlist for a while and I said to myself, "Yea I need to get back to this one." So I was glad today when my fuzzy phone buzzed as I was relaxing out on the dock throwing scraps to the gators.  It was a message from The Howling Eye to give their latest album the Cracklins treatment. Read on for the Fuzzy Cracklin's music review and listen to the stoner doom album Sonorous by The Howling Eye .....

Lost Comm by Stone Disciple

Lost Comm by Stone Disciple
Lost Comm by Stone Disciple
I'm lucky to get out of the swamp a few times a year and spend some quality time in Denver. Man, that city seems to get groovier every time I visit. I can't keep up on the count of brew pubs and dispensaries. And let's not overlook the music scene. It might be a little early to call Denver the stoner music nexus, but it sure seems to be heading that way. Listen to the Bandcamp stream and read Fuzzy Cracklin's full review of the stoner metal album Lost Comm by Stone Disciple below......

Lunar Eclipse EP by Stonus stoner heavy rock album review by Fuzzy Cracklins

Lunar Eclipse by Stonus album review by Fuzzy Cracklins
Lunar Eclipse by Stonus
Officially, summer turned into fall a few weeks ago. But here in the swamp, it never feels like autumn until October. Today is the first day of October so now it's time for the swamp grass to droop and the gators to slow down with the cooler temperatures. The change in season makes me want to listen to something a little more mellow than usual. But I don't want to go to sleep, at least not this early in the day. Listen for free and read Fuzzy Cracklin's review of the stoner heavy rock album Lunar Eclipse EP by Stonus below...

The Nature of Love by Destroy Earth instrumental psych album review by Fuzzy Cracklins

The Nature of Love by Destroy Earth
The Nature of Love by Destroy Earth

This weekend, I was wandering around on YouTube and stumbled upon a recent interview with Jimmy Page where he described that his intention with many of the Led Zeppelin projects was to take advantage of vinyl LPs and AOR FM stations in the US. What he meant was that LZ tried to record an album where all the songs on the first side fit together musically into their 20 minutes, and encouraged you to flip over the album and listen to the other side in a single session as well. The songs sounded different but they existed as part of a whole album. Which is pretty much the 180 degree opposite of 30-second hook singles dominating Spotify today. Stream the album on Bandcamp and read Fuzzy Cracklin's review of the psychedelic album The Nature of Love by Destroy Earth after the break....

A little eastern influence maybe? 30 minutes of instru-metal to get your week off to the right start.
