Are those synths lurking behind the opener, "The Muck"? Why yes they are, and they add an extra layer of sound to keep things lively (not that these songs lack any liveliness).
"Riot Police" keeps the energy flowing and makes me want to call Psychedivision a psych punk band (if there is such a thing). It's trippy, angry, and high-octane all at the same time. Pretty cool.
"Automated Atoms" really highlights the vocals with their spaced-out effects, but also grabs with you with some wild guitar work.
The last track "Chronophobia" brings yet more new sounds and I gotta say, this really has me going way down memory lane to a time when bands like The Residents did whatever the fuck they wanted, and it worked. Riffs, guitar solos, background screams, tweaked vocals, and anything else the band wanted to throw in.
There's a lot going on in just 4 short tracks, and yet they all kind of work together and make for a fun little EP. Definitely worth checking out if a mashup of psych, prog, punk, and rock sounds like your thing. Fuzzy digs it!
