Enter the Tomb by Misery Tomb
Can doom and punk go together? Hell yes they can when it's Misery Tomb. Also these dudes are putting together a comp for Edmonton bands so check out the details. Stream and read the Fuzzy Cracklins' album review of Enter The Tomb after the jump.....

The tracks are short so I'm going to review them all in a bunch. They all kill it to so I don't really need to call out specific ones. And shit it's only 22 minutes so you could listen to the whole thing faster than me telling you about it. Hit that PLAY button!

As I was listening to Enter the Tomb for the first time, I was thinking "doom punk" as the way to describe their sound. Then I checked their Bandcamp page and they call it "horror punk" and I get that, too. For sure we get the raw energy of punk and the short songs, and we also get the lyrics and themes right out of a slasher flick.

There are some great guitar effects on this, way beyond your typical punk track. Lay those over some heavy dark riffs and this is dark & doomy but very energetic at the same time.

Misery Tomb is out of Edmonton, Canada. Misery Tomb is Tanner Guthrie on Bass/ Vocals, Nathan Ouwens on Guitar / Backing Vocals, Trin Dafoe on Drums/ Backing Vocals, and Josh Kovatch for Lead Guitar / Vocals.

Hit their Bandcamp page at and follow Misery Tomb on Instagram to keep in the loop.

I dig Enter the Tomb by Misery Tomb a lot. Check out Black Market Drugs for a kinda sorta similar punk high octane darkness.

Bands in Edmonton!! Get at these guys! They are putting together a comp of local noise. You know this is gonna be good! All proceeds are going to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. It’s being put out under the Absolute Power Records imprint (a label from Philadelphia). We're talking a tape AND a CD so of course you want your track on it. Send your music to edmontonmisery@gmail.com You know Fuzzy loves a good comp DUH
